Since I arrived in Berlin, (with no knowledge of the German language), I no longer understand the people talking in the streets. In Paris and London, it had become a common distraction.

b. You must walk steadily, rather slowly, but never stop or slow down
c. You must listen
d. You must watch -----> with discretion
e. You must construct (finally) the context of this conversation based on the visual details you have intercepted
Today a group of young Americans walked by me on the sidewalk - as they spoke loud and in English, I heard despite social distancing, and understood: ‘Oh man, I can’t believe she has a boyfriend. Did you know? ’
There were 2 young men about 18 years old, both in shorts, one of them had a basketball.
What do you think this was about?
